2018 Saumur-Champigny
Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby in the glass, aromas of black cherry, cranberry, damp violets, tobacco, and a hint of black pepper. Medium-bodied, fresh, full of acid-driven energy. Fine tannins and a sweet floral burst to finish.
2016 Saumur-Champigny ‘La Haye Dampierre’
100% Cabernet Franc from the Dampierre plot. The bouquet is led by fragrant dark fruits and a refined mineral note, followed by violets and spices. The palate opens on ripe juicy dark berry fruits, cassis and sweet blackberries. The wine has a super fresh acidity throughout, with mouth-drying tannins building towards the end. A well-structured wine that will build in flavour as it grows older.
