KERRI GREENS

Mornington Peninsula, VIC

Available VIC, NSW, ACT & QLD

Kerri Greens was born in 2013 as a little experiment, a source of expression. Lucas Blanck and Tom McCarthy identified the old Hickson vineyard in Balnarring as something of a project. There wasn’t a brand, just two vignerons with plenty of ideas and the enthusiasm to make some mistakes. Both boys come from serious wine pedigree with Tom’s parents owning Quealy from Mornington (where Tom is now head wine maker) and Lucas’ (head vigneron at Quealy) roots hailing from Alsace at Domaine Paul Blanck.

By no means is this just an experimental brand. They have secured some serious plots around the Mornington to make these wines, including some old vines, each showing the real cross sectional differences the Mornington has to offer.

Tom has now departed to focus on his family’s business leaving Lucas at the helm. While the course for outstanding small parcels of Mornington fruit is set for the moment watch this space as Lucas’ influence shines.
