Weingut Kurt Angerer
Lengenfeld, Kamptal
2015 Roter Veltliner
There is the slightest hint of ripe pineapple about this fruit-driven white. The palate offers up more texture than fruit with wonderful frank freshness and pleasant nudges of yeast.
2015 Gruner Veltliner ‘loam’
Round and fruity on the palate, this is a rich and viscous, powerful Veltliner with a touch of charming sweetness and a lingering salinity. Very clear and elegant, well balanced and with a well-structured, stimulatingly salty finish.
2015 Riesling ‘Donatus’
A nice complex nose of yellow and orange fruits with a whiff of gravel and lots of spice plus the varietal dried herb, white pepper and turnip top. Overall though the expression is fruit and spice orientated; not too savoury.
2015 Riesling ‘Ametzberg’
Opens with a clear but reductive bouquet that is deep and concentrated but aromatically discreet. Full-bodied, piquant and fresh, this is a tightly woven, well-structured and powerful Riesling that needs some years to open up.
2011 Zweigelt ‘Granite’
Offers a classic aromatic and initial palate expression of this variety’s exuberant cherry fruit, tinged with cinnamon, vanilla, and toasted almond. Finishes with more smoke, resin, and brown spice than persistence of fruit.
